XiA needs your input! EHTEL believes that having EHTEL members’ input is vital to this XiA Call for action.
Answering one – or all three – of XiA’s 5-10 minute long surveys is a great way to strengthen the importance and influence of international interoperability in Europe.
The XiA project – Xpanding Innovative Alliance – is designing a free and open training portfolio to strengthen digital health interoperability across Europe. XiA is co-funded by the European Commission / Erasmus+ programme.
XiA’s goal? XiA aims to equip healthcare and IT professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to implement advanced interoperability standards, and support the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) as well as the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF).
XiA’s main result will be to create a pan-European, cross-sectoral alliance which will offer future-oriented education on Key Advance Interoperability Standards (KAIS) to the whole of the digital health ecosystem. It focuses on enhancing stakeholders’ capacity to adopted European Health Data Space-related standards and embrace a culture of interoperability. Among the stakeholders targeted are: healthcare providers, health IT provider enterprises, and individuals like health professionals, IT professionals, patients, and citizens. Hence, the project has real importance for implementers.
To ensure XiA’s training offer will reflect real needs and practices in the digital health field, the project invites you to respond to one, two, or all three short surveys. Giving your own answer will take you only a few minutes.
XiA’s call for action
Three surveys are available to you. They are easy to complete. None takes more than 5 minutes of your precious time. Yet their answers will really help influence the future of digital health interoperability in Europe.
Available surveys:
☑️ Skills Survey (≈ 5 minutes)
For: Healthcare & IT managers, clinicians, IT professionals
- Assess your current interoperability skill level.
- Identify the gaps in education in interoperability skills in digital health.
☑️ Training Resources Survey (≈ 5 minutes)
For: Learning & development leads, trainers, educators, content creators
- Share the materials you use or need.
- Help to gather information on what training resources are available on interoperability in the health and technical sectors.
☑️ Curricula Survey (≈ 10 minutes)
For: Programme directors, university faculty members, academic leaders
- Describe how interoperability is covered in your courses.
- Help Europeans to understand which curricula are aligned with established interoperability standards.
XiA’s relevance to EHTEL members
XiA offers great reinforcement for implementers’ activities. It reinforces EHTEL’s own support to implementers who are advancing digital health and care transformation in Europe.
Your contribution to XiA’s survey will feed into a pan-European, Creative Commons-licensed (CC BY-SA 4.0) catalogue of learning resources. This open catalogue will benefit the whole digital health ecosystem: whether clinicians, IT professionals, educators, students, or patients. This is your chance to help ensure real operational interoperability in healthcare. Help strengthen the importance of a variety of international interoperability standards.
Please share this initiative with your ownnetworks to enable XiA to reach a broad and diverse audience across Europe.
Thank you for helping EHTEL support XiA in moving European digital health forward.
