Many students and healthcare professionals have limited exposure to education on the use of electronic health records (EHRs).

A survey conducted by the Xt-EHR Joint Action is aiming to assess the status quo of digital health and EHR education in Medical Curricula in Europe from the perspective of both students and educators.

One of the Xt-EHR working groups is seeking to distribute the survey to Medical Schools in different European countries, preferably by email to the deans and the student councils in medical schools.

Brief background to the survey, working group, and project

This survey is being organised by the “EHR and eHealth in EU Medical Curricula” working group in Work Package 2 of the Xt-EHR Joint Action. (For a good sample, it is important for Xt-EHR that the survey is completed by as many medical schools as possible.)

The project is co-funded by the European Union in support of the EU4Health programme and is coordinated by National eHealth Authority of Cyprus (NeHA).

The Xt-EHR Joint Action aims to strengthen digital health efforts, specifically cooperation among Member States for creating functional, patient-centred, and interoperable Electronic Health Records, as defined in the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulation.

Details on completion of the survey

A .pdf version of the survey is available online should you need to read the questionnaire through – and consider your answers  – before answering it.

No finite deadline for completion of the survey has yet been set. As rapid as possible a response to the survey as possible would, however, be welcome.

In case of any questions, please feel free to contact the Xt-EHR project / task specific team: Stella Goeschl, Harm GijsbersErietta IoulianouTheodoros Kyprianou.
